Composition
The Emma pillow is designed, engineered, and manufactured in Germany, quality assured.
It is available in the standard 16” x 28” (40 x 70 cm) size.
It is a very breathable pillow with a beautifully-designed cover and three separate layers of foam.
These three layers are:
- A top layer of Hypergel foam
- A middle layer of Hypersoft foam
- A bottom layer of viscoelastic foam
Hypergel foam
The top layer of Hypergel foam gives you that soft feeling for maximum comfort while also providing great support.
Hypersoft foam
The middle layer of Hypersoft foam supports your head and neck no matter which position you sleep in, ensuring that you never wake up with aches and pains.
If you’re uncomfortable, though, you can remove this layer to reduce the pillow's height.
Viscoelastic memory foam
This layer distributes pressure.
It also adapts to the shape of your head, giving you the best support and guaranteeing a comfortable night’s sleep.
Interchangeable layers
All of the layers are interchangeable and removable.
By removing some layers, you can adjust the pillow's firmness and height to match your preferred comfort.
There is no wrong way of sleeping on the Emma pillow.
You can sleep on the memory foam layer or the Hypergel foam layer - simply decide which is most comfortable.
Unfortunately, Emma products are no longer available in India.

Emma pillow cover
The cover of the Emma pillow is similar to the cover of the Emma Original mattress.
The cover comprises 98% polyester and 2% elastane and is available in a sleek and elegant white design.
It’s climate-regulating, allowing the pillow to breathe and not retain heat, which keeps you cool and comfortable throughout the night.
The cover is also removable and can be machine-washed at 40℃.
Comfort and firmness
The Emma pillow aims to provide maximum comfort and support in all sleeping positions.
The foams are also designed to distribute pressure evenly, which prevents a build-up of tension.
You can choose whether you want to sleep on the viscoelastic foam layer or the Hypergel layer.
- Memory foam: A more comfortable, cushioning feel.
- Hypergel foam: More support for your head and neck.
Luckily, you can also adjust the height of the pillow by removing one or two layers.
Sometimes this is necessary.
For example, if you sleep on your stomach, you’d require a pillow with a low height.

How can I adjust the pillow to suit me better?
You can play around with the Emma pillow so that it fits your desired comfort level and preferred sleeping position.
Side sleepers
We’d suggest using all three layers of the pillow if you sleep on your side.
This is because the distance between your head and shoulders must be filled to provide adequate support and prevent neck pain.
But even when utilising all layers, you can choose which side of the pillow works best for you.
You can sleep on the comfort side (memory foam) or the support side (Hypergel foam), depending on personal preference and desired level of firmness.
Stomach sleepers
It’s essential to pay attention to the height of your pillow if you sleep on your stomach.
If your pillow is too high, your back and neck have to bend slightly.
But if your pillow is too flat, then your back might not be adequately aligned either.
Here, we’d recommend choosing one of the three layers of the Emma pillow to sleep on - this will ensure the best height.
You can use the layer that’s most comfortable for you.
Back sleepers
If you like to sleep on your back, we’d recommend keeping two of the three layers, thou you can choose which ones to keep.
Our recommendation: Combine the middle layer with either the Hypergel foam layer or the memory foam layer.
Certifications
The Emma pillow carries the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification [1] for all of its foam layers.
This certification guarantees that the materials do not contain any dangerous chemicals or toxins and are safe to use.
It also makes it suitable for infants and children.
The Emma pillow is 100% vegan.
Delivery conditions
In India, the Emma pillow is delivered within 5 - 12 working days.
Delivery is free of charge.
If you’re not happy with the pillow, you can simply return it. Returns are also free of charge.
